A Magical Mind
Houdini was wild when Taylor took him out onto Sugarhill's new dirt track, Baywood Circle. Taylor had high expectations for him. She wanted to place him into small races to help him gain his confidence and strength. He flipped his head around as they trotted along. He was highly energized this time around. He had been awaiting his next chance to get back out onto the track. Taylor couldn't wait to get him into a race.
A starting gate was placed at the mile marker. Taylor wanted to get a nice, long workout from him. He was ready for it. The young colt loaded into the chute with perfection. He was a pro at all of this. Once the gates opened, he dug in and flew. His muscles rippled with every stride as his hooves pounded the surface. He had been ready and waiting for the chance to prove himself.
Around the track they flew. Taylor sat perked in the saddle, letting the young horse dazzle her. She kept him bundled up underneath her. She could feel the ball of power as they reached the stretch. She clucked to him and he shifted into a higher gear, strides lengthening, and speed increasing. He opened up considerably. He never disappointed. He let it all out.
Once past the finish, he tossed his head around, again. He was ready for it all.
