Registered Name: Stalking the Stars
Nickname: Sassy
Registration Number: #1669
Age: 3 Year Old
Breed: Thoroughbred
Color/Markings: Black/Star
Height: 15.2hh
Gender: Filly
Personality: Although her sire is known to be ruthless and killing, this filly seems to have taken on her mothers kind disposition. Much like her half brother Authers Excaliber she is more than willing to listen and please, but she also has the heart and speed of a racer. Though she is gentle and loving off the track, we have had to break her of biting and kicking out at other horses on the track in her attempt to get to the front. She truly would do anything to win. She has a very showy body and conformation, and loves to tease the young studs with her feminine figure. She doesn't mind people but dislikes other horses.
Pedigree: Night Stalker X Shooting Star
Pedigree Comments: Night Stalker is legendary as a racehorse and as a sire. He is a grade one stakes racer who was well known around the old tracks. He has also been inducted into the Breeding Hall of Fame. Rightfully so, as he is the sire of HoF Sweet Stalker (G1), Knight Rousseau (G1), Silver Stalker (G1), Carmilla, Silverianna (G1), Eternal Phantom (G1), Midnight Thriller (G2), Stalker's Fury (G2), GM Halloweentown and many other upcoming champions. The winning never stops with Night Stalker. Shooting Star never raced but was used strictly as a broodmare. She threw some amazing champion foals such as Authers Excaliber (G1), Twilight Child, Silver Excaliber, and many more.
Next Race: Summer Cup Grade Five Turf / May Week 4/GHF
Race Record: 14-2-3-4
Grade: G5
Dirt: Good
Turf: Great
Distance: 8-11 Furlongs
Leg Type: Mid-Pack
Racing Comments: Sassy likes to run amongst the other horses. Getting dirt in her face does not bother her at all. She is not quick out of the gate so she usually settles towards the back and slowly moves up as the race goes on. She saves most of her energy for the final stretch and then moves up on the leaders. She doesn't have the strongest closing kick, nor the blistering speed of a sprinter so racing mid-pack is the best solution for her and gives her the best chance of winning.
