Personality: Blitzen is an adorable colt with an amazing racing spirit. He is a little chestnut ball of determination. Just like his sire he is incredibly competitive and loves to win. He can also get pretty discouraged if he has too many loses in a row. He is a very impatient horse and does not like to stand still for long. He wants things right away and he won't stop until he has what he wants. He will fuss, scream or even do the equivalent of the sound of a child whining until he gets his way. Blitzen is a speed ball on the track. He'll run on any surface and blitz all the competition away. He is a sprinter so can only run short distances before his speed starts to slow but there is no point in racing him in longer races anyway because he loves to sprint. He likes to run at the front of the pack and create the pace. He absolutely does not like to lose and will do anything in his power to get his nose in front of any horse that tries to steal the win away from him even if it kills him.

Pedigree Comments: After Blitzen's sire, Speed Demon retired Kirsten knew that she would need a new sprinter to replace him. What better to replace Demon than a sprinter foal of his own? The problem though was that ARS had a hard time trying to find a suitable mare. Starbucks was not exactly the one for Speed Demon but she was a mare who deserved a chance. She didn't have much of a career and Kirsten felt sorry for her, besides she did have some great racehorses in her blood. So we gave it a shot and got a beautiful chestnut colt who we named Popcorn Blitz.
